Rough Schedule
Hola! Alright this is our rough schedule for the remainder of this week:
7:00am - wake up
8:30-2:00pm - Goto the school, help with the kids
2:00-2:30pm - lunch
2:00-4:00pm -spend time reading/prayer
4:00-7:00pm -generally nobody does anything during these hours, it is hottest at this time. So everyone is either indoors or in the river
Yesterday at 7 we joined the youth bible study (ages 14-17ish). Aroura y Artemio teach it so we joined them. Tonight we may goto the young adult Bible Study with Daniel. Plans are very loose, so what we are actually doing may be totally different, but this is the general idea.
Things are going well here, we're learning how to speak Spanish, es muy dificil, pero we are not giving up hope. For this most part this week we are trying to spend alot of time in prayer to see what the Lord wants us to learn, and what He wants us to do. My goal right now is just to listen and learn: not to talk too much and ask alot of questions.
Prayer requests: I do have an urgent prayer request for our friend Daniel whom we are staying with. He is feeling very sick as of yesterday, we're not sure exactly from what. Today they are planning on taking him to the hospital. Our God is more powerful than any sickness or curse, so please pray that the Lord will heal him, that he may continue to serve the Lord here at the center, as well as translate for us. "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." Matt 18:19. That's a PROMISE from the Lord, and I believe we can trust His Word and believe it, so if you would grab a good Christian friend and agree with each other in prayer with me for the Lord to heal Daniel. Thanks.
And for us, I came across a passage that I believe very much describes how you can pray for us, and what we long for from the Lord:
"For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light." Colossians 1:9-12
Muchos gracias para sus oraciones. Dios te bendiga!
